Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor and is famous for his roles on the famous television shows like 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. While in college, he started to pursue a passion for acting. While at his school, the University of Colorado at Boulder where he was studying acting. The characters he has played on television are gaining him lots of popularity. It is no surprise that the actor has managed to grab the attention of viewers by playing characters who are on either one side of the law. In his very first TV production, he played a serial murderer. Later he portrayed the role of an NYPD investigator. Because of his appearances on smaller screens, he's received multiple nominations for prestigious Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards. The most appealing feature of his face is believed to be his piercing blue eyes, which are considered to be a trademark and helped in portraying tough characters that have charisma. In 2006, he was included on People's Magazine's Sexiest Men Alive list.
