Selena Gomez, an actress and a singer with a huge following internationally. Her involvement has included various projects. However, her involvement in the Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place has had the greatest success. The full title of her name is Selena Marie Gomez. Selena Gomez, born the city of Grand Prairie in Texas on July 22nd, 1992. The parents of Selena were Amanda Cornett and Ricardo Gomez. Selena's mother was 16 years old at the time she was born. At the age of 9 Selena made her first job on the stage by playing Gianna on Barney and her Friends. So she was one of several children to play with Barney, the famous anthropomorphic pink dinosaur. Selena was a part of many episodes of seasons 7 & 8 between 2001 and 2003. Selena was not the only performer on Barney and His Friends - Demi was also part of this show during this period. After the show ended, Selena Gomez auditioned for several parts in different programs as well as films, but wasn't particularly successful. She got a small role in the 2003 film Mini Spies 3 (Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over) as well as another role similar to Julie as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger: Trial by Fire. She also was given the part in the role of Emily Grace Garcia in the 2005 Brain Zapped program for which she composed a song.
